Able Trust Strategic Employment Program Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to students participating in a TCC Division of Workforce Development (WD) Program. Restricted to program tuition for A.A., A.S., certificate, GED/ESOL, or workforce training programs, books and supplies, internships (some restrictions apply), and other workforce-releated educational activities. Criteria: Applicant must complete the program intake form and have a demonstrated financial need and documented disability. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.



Alfred I. DuPont Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to residents of Gulf, Liberty, and/or Franklin county. Must demonstrate financial need by providing the FAFSA to the college. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

American Business Women's Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a student with financial need. Criteria: Must demonstrate financial need by providing the FAFSA to the school. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

American Graduate Success Academy Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to a graduate of the American Gradute Success Academy. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

AMI Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to graduates of the Tallahassee AMI Program (American Marine Institute) or the West Florida Wilderness Institute Program. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Angels of Mercy Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a returning student enrolled in the TCC Nursing Program. Criteria: -Must be enrolled in the Nursing Program A.S. -Not receiving the Bright Futures Scholarship. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Bank of America Dream Makers

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a student who is the first in the family to attend college. Criteria: Must be first generation to attend college. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Barfield Mock Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to single mothers attending Tallahassee Community College. Criteria: -Be a single mother -Be a resident of Leon or Wakulla counties -Minimum 3.0 GPA. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Barfield Mock Scholarship - Second Cycle

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to single mothers attending Tallahassee Community College. Criteria: -Be a single mother -Be a resident of Leon or Wakulla counties -Minimum 3.0 GPA. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Big Bend Jobs Education Council (BBJEC)

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a student who attended the Teenage Parent Program (TAPP). Criteria: 2.5 minimum GPA, Drug Free, attended TAPP. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Blue Cross Blue Shield Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance for students in the Nursing and Allied Health Care Programs. Criteria: -Demonstrate a financial need by providing your FAFSA student aid report to the school -Be a resident of Leon, Gadsden, or Wakulla county. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Brandon King Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established in memory of Brandon King. Criteria: -Must have a 2.5 GPA. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Brigadier General and Mrs. William B. Webb Scholarship

This scholarhsip was established to provide financial assistance for military personnel, their dependents or suvivors. Criteria: -Show a financial need by providing your FAFSA Student Aid Report to the school -Be a full-time student -Minimum 2.5 GPA -Preference will be given to military personnel on active duty or those with an honorable discharge, their dependents or survivors. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Building Legacies Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a returning student (a year or more break in attending school) who has not earned a degree. Critera: Must be a returning student and has not earned a degree. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Capital City Bank Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students taking college level courses related to banking career track. Must have a 3.0 or higher overall GPA. Must be a full time Capital City Associate with a minimum of 3 years in the company. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.



Capital City Classic Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to graduating seniors with a 2.5 overall GPA and demonstrate financial need by providing the school with the FAFSA.

Capital Health Plan Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a student interested in a career in the healthcare field. Criteria: -Resident of Gadsden County -Health Care field . Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.



Capital Med Society Alliance Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students who have been officially accepted into TCC's Nursing Program. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Capital Women's Network - Dr. Mary L. Pankowski Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide funding to a returning student. Criteria: -Have a least a five year break in education -Demonstrate a financial need by providing your FAFSA Student Aid Report to the school -Reside in either Leon, Taylor, Madison, Liberty, Wakulla, Jefferson, Gadsden, or Franklin county. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Career Choice Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to students enrolled in a TCC Division of Workforce Development (WD) program. Restricted to program tuition and books. Criteria: Applicant must have submitted a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and be identified as having a financial need. Applicant must be a student returning to college to pursue a new employment position due to being dislocated or displaced from an employment position. Submit brief essay regarding personal education plans and career goals. Submit a Resume or document showing work history. Must be fully admitted into a qualifying program (Real Estate, Insurance, Certified Financial Planner, Machining, Production Technician, Industrial Machinery Repair, Welding Technologies, HVAC, Cyber Security, Microsoft Office Specialist). Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.



Carol Strickland Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to a student that is deaf or hard of hearing. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Christyne B. Hamilton Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a TCC student living in Leon County and involved in community projects. Criteria: -Be a resident of Leon County -Minimum 3.0 GPA -Preference given to students active in Kiwanis Key Clubs. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Clayton Homes Disability Support Services Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students with a disability attending TCC. Criteria: -Have earned at least 12 college credit hours -Enroll in a minimum of 9 hours per semester -Have current documentation of a disability on file with the TCC Disability Support Services Office -Be a current TCC student with a minimum 2.72 GPA -Be in an A.A. or A.S. program -Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Clayton Homes Health Career Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students in Allied Health Care programs. Criteria: -Demonstrate good written communication skills -Demonstrate a financial need by providing your FASFA Student Aid Report to the school -Community involvement -Preference given to students not receiving other forms of financial aid -Miminmum 2.8 GPA in health career required courses. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Clayton Homes Leroy Collins Preparing Leaders for Tomorrow Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students involved in leadership and service activities. Criteria: -Minimum 25 ACT score or 1180 SAT score -Minimum 3.5 high school GPA -Graduate in top 10% of high school class -Have successfully completed 12 or more hours at TCC with a "C" before actual admission to the program -Letter of recommendation from college faculty member -Submit a written proposal for a community service project -Demonstrate a willingness to participate in leadership development activities by choosing one or more of the following for each semester the scholarship is received: 3 credit course MNA2764; 3 hour internship course such as PAD2949, PLA2941, POS294 -Leadership role in SGA or participating in Model United Nations program. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Clayton Homes Physical Education-Recreation and Leisure Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students studying Physical Education or Recreation and Leisure at TCC. Criteria: -Must be a student in the Physical Education or Recreation Program. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Clayton Homes Pre- Engineering Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to Pre-Engineering students at TCC. Criteria: -Minimum 2.75 GPA -Earned 12 college credit hours at TCC -Have completed EGS1111C, ETD1320, EGS2141C, or CHM1045 + CHM1045L, with a grade of "B" or better -Have completed at least three hours of Math MAC1105 -Minimum Math/Science GPA of 3.0 or higher. Clayton Homes Returning Adult Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a returning student. Criteria: -Must be a returning student -Demonstrate a financial need by providing your FASFA Student Aid Report to the school .Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Corbin Scott Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide a scholarship opportunity to a Gadsden high school senior exhibiting outstanding citizenship and participation in extracurricular activities. Criteria: -Be a senior graduating from a Gadsden County High School -Minimum 2.75 high school GPA -Maintain a minimum 2.75 GPA and earn 12 credit hours per semester at TCC -Letter of recommendation from an employer or community leader -Be active in extracurricular activities -Be drug and alcohol free -Maintain exemplary citizenship standards. Criminal Justice Education Assistance Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to a graduate of the post secondary adult program for Law Enformcement or Corrections at Tallahassee Community College's FPSI Program seeking an A. S. degree in Criminal Justice. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Curt Varner Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide full tuition to a student accepted into the TCC AS Respiratory Care Program. Criteria: Must have a 3.0 overall GPA with the intent to work in respiratory care in Tallahassee, Florida. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Curtis Varner Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide full tuition for a student accepted into the TCC AS Respiratory Care Program. Criteria: Must have 3.0 overall GPA with the intent to work in the field of respiratory in Tallahassee, FL. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Dale Green/Committee of 99 Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a deserving student enrolled in the Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy (PTLEA). Criteria: -Be a PTLEA student -Be a resident or employee of Leon County. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Daniel D'Alemberte Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a continuing student at TCC. Criteria: -Be in good standing at TCC -Minimum 2.5 GPA -Earned 12 college credit hours at TCC -Preference given to students not receiving any other aid. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Davis/Godby High School Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide funding for a Godby High School student. Criteria: -Be a Godby high school student -Demonstrate financial need by providing your FAFSA Student Aid Report to the school. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Dedicated Companies

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to a First Generation student to attend college, a U.S. Veteran, and a Single Parent.  Criteria: -Demonstrate financial need by submitting the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid at www.fafsa.gov), must be the First Generation to attend college (parent or guardian has not earned a college degree), or a U.S. Veteran (honorable discharge), or a Single Parent (primary caregiver to children under the age of 18). Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Dixon Family Scholarship

This scholarship was established to assist members of the Boys and Girls Club of the Big Bend who are first generation to attend college students. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Dorothy Binger Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to a former foster youth. Criteria: -must have previously been in foster care -must show a financial need by providing the Student Aid Report (FAFSA) to the school. -Minimum 2.5 GPA -Essay demonstrating interest in assisting peers, leadership and community involvment. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Dorothy Law PACE Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a graduate of the PACE Center for Girls. Criteria: -Must be a graduate of the PACE Center for Girls. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.



Dr. Elsie Burton Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a returning student. Criteria: -Minimum 2.75 GPA -Be a returning student -Show good disciplinary and attendance record -Stay drug free. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Dr. Laurie L. Dozier, Jr. Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide funding to students enrolled in Allied Health Care programs. Criteria: -Be enrolled in one of the Allied Health Care Programs -Show a financial need by providing your FAFSA Student Aid Report to the school. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Dr. Samuel Meyer Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a graduating senior from a Leon County high school exhibiting potential and is active in school and the community. Criteria: -Be a Leon County high school graduating senior -Minimum 2.0 high school GPA -Maintain a minimum 2.75 GPA as a Dr. Samuel Meyer Scholarship recepient while attending TCC -Remain committed to full-time enrollment at TCC (12+ hours) -Demonstrate academic potential -Participate in school extracurricular activities and community affairs -Letter of recommendation from employer or community leader -Maintain exemplary citizenship standards while remaining drug free. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Dream Big Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to students enrolled in a TCC Division of Workforce Development (WD) program. Criteria: Applicant must have successfully completed the GED Program and passed the GED examination. Must be present at the graduation ceremony to receive the scholarship award.



E. Allen Sapp, Jr. Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a student who demonstrates financial need and has a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Criteria: demonstrates financial need by providing the FAFSA student aid report to the college, minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Eddie Boone Criminal Justice Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance for a criminal justice student  -Have a declared major in either A.A. degree with a concentration in Criminal Justice or an A.S. degree in Criminal Justice Technology, 2.5 overall GPA - Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Edward Howard Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a student with a program of study in Mathematics or Mathematics Education. Criteria: -Residency Gadsden, Leon, or Wakulla County -Minimum 3.0 GPA -Full time enrollment, minimum of 12 credit hours -Must have financial need (determined by FAFSA) -Demonstrated leadership potential through student organizations, extra-curricular activities, or community services projects. -Must have two letters of recommendation from at least 2 of the following: principal, teacher, school counselor, or educational advisor. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.



Employment Stepping Stone Scholarship

Criteria: -May be Florida or Non-Florida Resident -Must not be receving other scholarships such as the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship.-Must answer essay questions on "How will taking college classes enable you to pursue a marketable career? -Award can be used for tuition, fees, and books -Demonstrate a financial need by providing the FAFSA to the school. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.



Ernest "Sonny" Smith

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to students with a developmental disability. Preference will be given to students with Cerebral Palsy. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Florida Blue Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance for students in the Nursing and Allied Health Care Programs. Criteria: -Demonstrate a financial need by providing your FAFSA student aid report to the school -Be a resident of Leon, Gadsden, or Wakulla county. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Florida Fallen Officers Scholarship

This scholarship was established to honor all of Florida's Law Enforcement Officers who have given the ultimate sacrifice in service to their community. Criteria: -Must be enrolled full-time in the recruit training basic law enforcement program at the Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy. -Preference given to children of fallen officers -Must complete an essay of at least 500 words explaining the importance of law enforcement officers in modern society. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.



Follett Book Gift Card Scholarship - First Cycle

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a deserving student to aid with the purchase of books. Criteria: -Minimum 2.5 GPA -Show a financial need by providing your FAFSA Student Aid Report to the school. -Be a full-time student. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.



Foundation Opportunity Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a student with the greatest need and highest overall GPA. Criteria: demonstrate a financial need by providing the FAFSA student aid report to the college, minimum 3.0 overall GPA. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Fred W. Turner Signature Seat Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a student involved in theatre, dance, or the arts. Criteria: -Be enrolled or intend to enroll in theater, arts or forensics course. -Have a minimum 3.0 weighted GPA -Have been involved in school activities -Be willing to submit an essay regarding why you should be selected -Provide two letters of recommendation. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Gene and Anne Michael Walton Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Gene & Susan Walton to honor the memory of Gene & Anne Michael Walton to provide financial assistance to a student enrolled in any of TCC's health sciences programs. Criteria: -Must be enrolled in one of TCC's Health Care Programs -Must be a Returning student -Must demonstrate financial need by providing your FAFSA Student Aid Report to the school. GFWC Womans Club of Tallahassee Scholarship

This scholarship was created for a returning student. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Guy A. Race Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to high school graduates of a Gadsden County high school. Criteria: Gadsden County high school graduate, minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA, demonstrate exceptional academic potential and participation in school activities. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Gwen Parker Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a student in science and math programs. Critiera: science and math programs. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Harry A. Smith Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2009 to provide financial assistance to Science and Math majors.

Havana Kiwanis Club Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to an East Gadsden High School graduate from zip codes 32333 or 32343. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.  

Healthcare Provision Excellence Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students in the healthcare programs. Criteria: Must be accepted into one of TCC's Allied Healthcare programs, minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Helios 1st Generation Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to 1st Generation students to receive a college degree. Preference is given to students preparing for a career in education with intent to become a teacher in Florida. Scholars are required to take the Life Skills Course in his/her first year of study. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Honors Program Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to new and current students actively participating in the Honors Program at TCC. The goal of the TCC Honor's Program is to provide challenging academic experiences with an emphasis on personal and academic success for motivated students. After successful completion of the Honors Program, students earn an Honors Degree recognized on all transcripts and diplomas. Current TCC Honors Program Scholarship awardees may apply for a second year, but do not receive preference.

Qualifications (All applicants must be admitted to the Honors Program)

First Time in College

Please provide proof of one of the following:

  • Minimum SAT score of 1170 (Combined Critical Reading and Mathematics)
  • Minimum ACT score of 25
  • Minimum 3.5 weighted and unweighted high school GPA
  • Graduation in the top 10% of high school class

Current, Dual Enrolled, Returning and Transfer Students

  • Minimum 3.25 cumulative college GPA
  • Minimum of 12 hours of earned college credit with the ability to complete 6 Honors courses
  • Maximum completion of 36 hours of earned college credit with the ability to complete 6 Honors courses (Students who have earned more than 36 college credit hours and/or a degree already do not qualify.)

Current TCC Honors Students

  • Active status in the Honors Program
  • Maximum completion of 36 hours of earned college credit with the ability to complete course registration requirements

Howard W. and Lillian Crews Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide tuition scholarships to continuing TCC students showing financial need with preference given to married students. Criteria: -Be a current or rising TCC sophmore -Have a least two semesters at TCC -Prove financial need by providing your FAFSA Student Aid Report to the School. -Minimum 2.0 GPA -Preference given to married students. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

International Student Services Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to members of the TCC International Student Services Program. -Have been an active member and participated in TCC International Student Services Program activities on a regular basis for at least one semester prior to application. -Have distinguished himself/herself academically as indicated by a minimum GPA of 3.20 -Have submitted an essay stating how joining the TCC International Student Services Program has enriched his/her life -Be an active participant in fund-raising events to generate funds for scholarships. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Jacquelyn Burroughs Dial

This scholarship was established to provide funding to a returning student. Criteria: -Demonstrate a financial need by providing your FAFSA Student Aid Report to the school. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Jenkins Brick Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a deserving student who has been active in their community and/or TCC. Criteria: -Minimum 2.5 GPA -Have a good disciplinary and attendance record -Have an active role in the community and/or TCC. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Joe Wedeles Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a Gadsden County high school graduate intending to enroll or is currently enrolled at TCC. Criteria: -Be a graduate of a Gadsden County high school -Be a student intending to pursue a career in business, teacher education with a preference for business education or in nursing (R.N.) -Minimum 3.0 high school GPA or minimum 2.5 college GPA. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

John M. Russi Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to children of Florida Law Enforcement Officers. Criteria: -Must be a child of a Florida Law Enforcement Officer -Preference given to children of those who died in the line of duty and were licensed as Collateral Recovery Agents, Private Investigators, or Private Security Officers under Chapter 493, Florida Statute Criteria: -Children of Florida Law Enforcement Officers who died in the line of duty -Children of military service men and women who died in the line of duty. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

John R. Gaunt Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to a student pursuing an A.A. degree with intention of completing a 4 year degree in Art, Art History. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Joi Walker and Carol Zimmerman Science Scholarship

This scholarship was established in honor of Carol O. Zimmerman, retired TCC Science and Math faculty member. Criteria: Minimum 3.0 overall GPA, Program of study in Science, Biological Science, Earth Science, or Physical Science. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.



Kristin & Hilmar Skagfield Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to employees and children of employees at Skandia Industries. Criteria: -Must be an employee or child of an employee of Skandia Industries. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Kyle Everett Broach & Courtney Segler Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to students enrolled in a TCC Division of Workforce Development (WD) program. Restricted to the cost of the TABE testing, program tuition, and Kaplan GED exam preparation books. Criteria: Applicant must demonstrate financial need. Prior to the receipt of the scholarship the awardees must meet any applicable program requirements and provide proof of acceptance. Write an essay on how will obtaining a GED contribute to your immediate or longer term career plans? Describe how you have demonstrated leadership ability both in and out of school. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.



Lamar and Pearl Youngblood Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a student that is a resident of an unincorporated area of incorporated municipality with population less than 20,000. Must have a 3.5 GPA. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Lawrence "Larry" Gerrell Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to students formaly in foster care or orphaned. Must be a resident of Leon County, have a 3.0 overall GPA, and demonsrate financial need by providing the FAFSA to the college. Preference given to students majoring in Nursing or Law Enforcement. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Leadership Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a student. Criteria: 3.0 Minimum GPA, demonstrate financial need, community service.

Leadership Tallahassee Class XIV Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to graduates of the Teenage Parent Program. Criteria: -Must be a graduate of the Teenage Parent Program -Minimum 3.0 while enrolled in the TAPP program -Maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA while receiving this scholarship at TCC. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Leon High School Foundation

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a recent high school graduate. Criteria: high school graduate with a  2.0-2.9 high school cumulative GPA or minimum 2.0 TCC GPA, not eligible for the Bright Futures Scholarship.

Les Kennedy Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a deserving student enrolled in the Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy (PTLEA) Criteria: -Must be a PTLEA student. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Life Force - Student Leadership Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a student involved in campus activity. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Livingston Leadership and Service Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to a student who has demonstrated servant leadership within the school, community, or family. Criteria: Full time enrollmemt (12 hours), residency is Gadsden County, First Generation in college (parent or guardian has not earned a college degree). Complete essay to explain how you have demonstrated servant leadership in school, the community, or the family. Preference given to students who have been adopted, in foster care, or who have been homeless at some point in life. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Louis Hill Scholarship

This award was established for students int a health care program at TCC. Criteria: -Must demonstrate a financial need by submitting the FAFSA. -Preference given to a second year student. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Lucile Rentz Kimbrel Hemanes Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to a student of PACE Center for Girls. Criteria: Must have 80-85% attendance rate, minimum B average while at PACE, demonstate financial need by providing the FAFSA.

Madigan Teaching Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a student pursuing a career in teaching. Criteria: minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

MainLine Information Systems Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to help obtain training to improve employability and upward mobility. Eligible non-credit programs include Nursing Assistant PSAV Certificate#5024. Students must also demonstrate financial need with one of the following: last tax return, unemployment notice, approval from agency for food stamps, etc. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.



Marie Daughtry Williams Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to a student accepted into the Nursing Program at Tallahassee Community College. Criteria: Must be officially accepted into TCC's Nursing Program, must be a Leon, Gadsden, or Wakulla high school graduate. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Mark Dougherty Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a continuing student at TCC. Criteria: -Minimum 3.0 GPA -Minimum 12 hours of college credit -Preference given to students intending on majoring in a social science. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Mary Lois King Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a student in science and math programs. Critiera: science and math programs. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Mary Nicholson Refuge House Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to clients of Refuge House. Criteria: -Must be a client of Refuge House -Must include a letter of recommendation from Refuge House. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Montserrat & William Webb Scholarship

This scholarship was designed to assist a financially needy student. Criteria: -Demonstrate a financial need by providing your FAFSA Student Aid Report to the school -Be a full-time student. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Nancy Hicks Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a returning student interested in majoring in business. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Nathan E. Rodgers Scholarship

Established to provide scholarship funding to students with a hearing impairment Criteria: -Be a currently enrolled or new student to TCC with a hearing impairment. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Pamela Phelps Early Education Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students in pursuit of the Child Development CDA credential and eventually the Associate of Science degree in Early Childhood Development and Education. Criteria: 1. Show financial need by providing your FAFSA Student Aid Report to the school. 2. Pay for one credit hour of tuition cost 3. Have at least five years of experience working with children 4. Be a continuing student at TCC 5. Letter of Recommendation from a teacher, counselor or community leader 6. Should not be receiving other aid during the scholarship semester. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Pathways to Sucess Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to students enrolled in a TCC Workforce Development (WD) program. Restricted to program tuition and cost of the final GED exam. Criteria: Must demonstrate financial need. Must be a a new or current TCC Adult Education student intending to enter a vocational or industry recognized certificate program at TCC. For continuing tuition awards, applicant must meet and maintain TCC's Satisfactory Academic Progress as outlined in the TCC catalog and student handbook and must have acceptable attendance as outlined by the Adult Education attendance policy. For the $30 tuition waiver, an applicant must have a Test for Adult Basic Education (TABE) within three (3) calendar months prior to the scholarship application withe a TABE grade equivalent of six (6) in at least two subject areas and grade equivalent of 9 or above in other areas or applicant must have received GED Ready score of "Likely to Pass" in at least one sub-test, the student must have earned a "Likely to Pass" score for the sub-test area to be taken. Only one $32 award per sub-test area is allowed. Submit an essay "What is your strategy for achieving academic success in the Adult Education Program? How ill obtaining  your GED contribute to your immediate or long term career goals? Describe how you have demonstrated leadership ability both in and out of school. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.



Peer Ambassador Scholarship

This scholarship is to recognize outstanding graduating seniors from Leon, Gadsden, and Wakulla counties. Scholarships are awarded to nominees based on high school guidance counselor/principal recommendations. *must be nominated by high school counselor/principal *complete on-line scholarship application which includes essay, Community Service Statement, two letters of recommendation *Copy of high school transcripts



Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

This scholarship was established to reward academic excellence and participation in college activities. Criteria: -Have a minimum 3.25 GPA -Member of TCC's Phi Theta Kappa. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Premier Bank Directors Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial support for students who have graduated from a Leon or Gadsden County high school. Criteria: -Be a graduate of Leon or Gadsden County high school. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Premier Bank Directors Scholarship - Second Cycle

This scholarship was established to provide financial support for students who have graduated from a Leon or Gadsden County high school. Criteria: -Be a graduate of Leon or Gadsden County high school. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Program for Excellence in Teaching (PET) Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial support for students committed to teacher education. Criteria: -Have a minimum 3.0 GPA -Have effective writing skills (submission of 2 essays) -Have effective oral communicatin skills (interview required) -Submit a letter of recommendation from a former teacher or employer -Show commitment to majoring in teacher education

Ray Glenn Mathematics & Science Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students studying math or science at TCC. Criteria: Mathematics: 1. Enrolled in MAC2311 or completion in previous term 2. Have completed at least six hours of mathematics at TCC 3. Have at least a 3.5 GPA in all mathematics courses 4. Have at least a 3.0 overall GPA 5. Have a TCC mathematics faculty recommendation Science 1. Have completed 12 hours at TCC 2. Have completed at least six hours of science at TCC 3. Have at least a 3.5 GPA in all science courses 4. Have a TCC science faculty recommendation. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Retail Pathways Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to students enrolled in a TCC Division of Workforce Development (WD) program. Restricted to the cost of certification exam fees. Not eligible to receive more than one award. Criteria: Applicant must complete 1 of 3 qualifying programs offered through the Retail Pathways Grant. Qualifying Programs: Customer Service Sales & Fundamentals, Advanced Customer Service and Sales, Retail Management & Operations. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.



Richard and Karen Moore Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a student who is beginning or returning to college with financial need, preference will be given to student with an interest in education or business. Criteria: -Must be an student who is beginning or returning to college -Must demonstrate a financial need by providing your FAFSA Student Aid Report to the school -Preference will be given to a student with an interest in education or business. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Rick Rice Graphic Design Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a student in the TCC Graphic Design Program. Criteria: - Program of Study Graphic Design for one year -Must have minimum 3.0 cum GPA -Must submit an electronic portfolio. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Robert Mark Whitton

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a student who is a graduate of an Associated Marine Institute (AMI) Program. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Roy Jaeger Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to son or daughter of an active-duty law enforcement officer with demonstratable financial need, must enroll and maintain status as a full-time student at TCC and must maintain a 2.5 GPA. Criteria: -Must be a son or daughter of an active-duty law enforcement officer with demonstratable financial need -Must enroll and maintain status as a full-time student at TCC -Must maintain a 2.5 GPA. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

S.T.E.M. STAR Scholarship

The scholarship is designed to increase the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) workforce. The program recruits, mentors, and supports academically talented, but financially needy freshman, for up to two years. Criteria: -Be a U.S. citizen -Be enrolled full-time in an Associate degree program leading to a career in the STEM fields and/or baccalaureate degree in: Biological Sciences, Computer and Information Sciences, Geosciences, Engineering, Technology, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physical Sciences -Demonstrate academic potential or ability with a minimum 3.0 GPA -Demonstrate financial need as determined by the U.S. Department of Education Rules. -Allied Health Care Majors are excluded



Scadron Memorial

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to Florida high school graduate. Criteria: -Must submit a FAFSA applicaiton and have the Student Aid Report sent to TCC. -Preference given to high school graduates of Gadsden County. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Science/Math Scholarship Endowment

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance for students in Science/Math programs. Criteria: Science/Math program of study. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Sharon LaHayne Vause

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students pursuing a Nursing degree in geriatrics. Criteria: -Be enrolled in pursuit of nursing degree- preferably in geriatrics -Show financial need by providing your FAFSA Student Aid Report to the school. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Student Government Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance students involved in TCC's Student Government Association. Criteria: Current memeber of TCC SGA.

Student Housing Solutions Scholarship- Second Year Renewal, F-1 Visa International Students

This scholarship was established for scholarship recipients for a second year.  This housing opportunity is for the student only and does not include family members. Criteria:  Must do a minimum of 20 hours of volunteer service with activities and events sponsored by the International Services Office or the International Student Organization for Fall and Spring semesters. 2. Must have earned at least a cumulative GPA of 3.0 at TCC during first year. 4. Must not be receiving any other substantial scholarship from own government waiving out of state tuition. 5. Must have cooperated with first-year roommates and have handle own portion of the utilities bill in a prompt manner.  6. Must  agree to the terms and conditions of the existing lease agreement of the apartment complex. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Tallahassee Civitan - Jimmy & Sherrill Ragan Scholarship

This scholarahip was established to provide financial assistance to students involved in community activities and planning on attending or currently attending Tallahassee Community College. Criteria: -Be in good academic standing--grades reflect a sincere effort to succeed -Be involved in community activities -Provide Letters of Recommendation -Preference given to affiliation with Civitan members or Junior Civitan Clubs -Attend Civitan meeting held in the fall. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

TCC Chapter of AFC

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to an AFC member or the member's dependent/spouse. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

TCC District Scholarship

This scholarship was established to recognize academically talented high school seniors in Leon, Gadsden, and Wakulla counties. One student from each eligible school may be selected. Criteria: Be nominated by high school guidance counselor or principal, minimum 1170 SAT Score or minimum 26 ACT Composite Score, minimum 3.3 weighted cumulative GPA, campus involvement, excellent campus citizenship, and attend on-campus interview.

The Lawrence "Larry" Gerrell Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to students previously in foster care or orphaned. Must be a Leon County resident and have a 3.0 overall GPA. Must demonstrate financial need by providing the FAFSA to the college. Preference given to students majoring in Nursing and Law Enforcment. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Ultimate Mom Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a single mother who is a returning student. Criteria: -Be a returning student registering for 3 or more hours per term, with a preference given to applicants of less than 12 hours -Be a single mother(sole supporter of children in the home) -Be employed full-time -Minimum 3.0 GPA. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Visconti Children's Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to former foster children attending TCC. Criteria: -Must be a foster child at the time of graduation from high school or obtainment of GED. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Whitton-Dean Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students studying math or science at TCC. Criteria: Mathematics: 1. Have at least 3.0 GPA in all math courses 2. Have completed 12 credit hour at TCC 3. Have at least three hours of mathematics at TCC beyond MAT1033 4. Have at least a 2.75 overall GPA 5. Have a TCC mathematics faculty recommendation Science: 1. Have completed 12 hours at TCC 2. Have at least a 3.0 GPA in all science courses 3. Have three hours of science at TCC 4. Have a TCC science faculty recommendation 5. Have at least 2.75 overall GPA. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.



William D. Law, Sr. Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to an employed father who is a returning student. Criteria: -Applicant must be employed -Must be a returning student -Must be a father. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.

Workforce Development Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to students enrolled in a TCC Division of Workforce Development (WD) Program. Restricted to program tuition and fees for continuing workforce education (CWE) and Post-Secondary Adult Vocational (PSAV) training programs. Criteria: Applicant must demonstrate financial need. Must not have previously received a Workforce Development Scholarship. Submit 2 letters of recommendation. Must be fully admitted into a qualifying PSAV program. Qualified programs for continuing Workforce Education Applicants: Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, Building Analyst, Green Supply Chain Professional, Indoor Air Quality Manager, Indoor Environmentalist, Solar Photovoltaic, Thermal Solar Hot Water, Weatherization Technician, Cyber Security, SharePoint User Services, Production Technician, Electronic Systems Associate, Lean Manufacturing, Logic Controllers, Quality Assurance, Surface to Mount Technician, Certified Financial Planer, Insurance Claims Adjustor, Personal Lines Insurance, Property & Casualty Insurance, Project Management, Business & Technical Writing, Essentials of Human Resources, Non-Profit Management, Human Resources Professional, First Line Supervision, Event Planning. Qualified programs for Post-Secondary Vocational (PSAV) Applicants: Cyber-Security, HVAC, Machining, Welding. Must be identified as having a financial need, but not meet the requirements to receive federal student aid. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.



Workforce Request Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide assistance to students enrolled in a TCC Division of Workforce Development (WD) program. Restricted to program tuition, books, and program or certification testing. Criteria: Applicant must meet the definition of a homeless person in accordance with state law. Criteria: Submit letter of verification from a local public or private shelter (ex: The Shelter, Tallahassee Housing Authority, Kearney Center, Echo, A Life Recovery Center, etc.), complete and sign a Homeless Fee Exemption Affidavit. Qualifying programs: GED, Short-Term Workforce Training Programs. Prior to the receipt of the scholarship, the awardees must be fully admitted into a qualifying program. Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.



Working for Limitless Achievement (WFLA) Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a student who is not eligible for the PELL Grant as determined by the Federal Govenrnment. Criteria: -Must not be eligible for the FL Bright Futures Scholarship -Must not be eligible for the PELL Grant according to FAFSA (eligible for loans only). Funding provided by a generous donation to the TCC Foundation.
